It’s the second week of Adam Warrock‘s Donation Drive Month campaign, meaning he has a new single out for free DL in hopes of coercing you to throw a few greenbacks his way and help prevent him from becoming a starving artist. Like last week, this one is another double-single release with “Gundam Wings & Fries” being paired “All Day Breakfast”. WarRock’s penchant for turning the most mundane of topics into enjoyable songs is present once again.
Rather than have liner notes, let’s just have them here. When we were in Icon Studios in Atlanta, we finished the songs for the EP, and had about an hour and a half left in the studio. It was past midnight, we were tired, we were drinking beer, and me and Tribe were scanning through Joules’ beats, and he had a beat called “Gundam Wings & Fries.” So of course, we clicked on it. And this beat just started playing, and we started dancing and goofing on a hook. Within 40 minutes, “Gundam Wings & Fries” was created, including a stellar verse by Joules, going under his nom de plume P. Longest (it’s actually not that, that’s just a name we came up with goofing around). It’s a song unlike any we’ve done before, and I honestly have no idea if people will come close to loving it as much as we do, but I hope you do.
“All Day Breakfast” was just a song that I made when sitting around, making pancakes for dinner. I think it’s pretty self explanatory.
