Lily Bee Invites you to the “Carnival”

The one and only Lily Bee has a new demo song for you and this one is a gentle, light hearted song calld “Carnival”. It’s a sweet, playful affair that does it’s name justice, invoking memories of those childhood trips to the Summer Fair. Or maybe that’s just my overactive imagination. Either way, you can DL the song for free via Soundcloud. If you’d like to read along with the song, lyrics are available after the break.

How ’bout them blue skies way up high waiting for a smile
How ’bout the children standing in line up and down the aisle?
I’ll lend you a hand at the barbecue stand
Come to the carnival with me

Try your luck and pay a buck to get your fortune told
Come one, come all, have a ball, folks young or old
Watch the elephant parade from the penny arcade
Come to the carnival with me

You won’t be feeling sorry you’re in town
We’ll turn your sullen faces upside down
Come to the carnival
Come to the carnival with me

Ride up and down all around on the ferris wheel
We’ll pig out on whatever holds the most appeal
We’ll watch those turtle doves on the tunnel of love
Come to the carnival with me

[break]

You won’t be feeling sorry you arrived
We’ll have a silly, good old-fashioned time
Come to the carnival
Come to the carnival
Life’s just a carnival, you’ll see
Come to the carnival with me
