G*LEE Drops the ‘XVI: More Than This’ EP

We’ve been hearing about this G*LEE EP for what seems like ages now, but we’re glad to report that the project has finally seen the light of day. XVI: More Than This is a project that occupied much of the artist/producer’s latter teen years. It’s a thin 4 track release, but based on an initial listen – the quality may make up for the lack of quantity. This is a freebie for all you music lovers out there, courtesy of Bandcamp.

NYC based multi-faceted artist G*LEE debuts her EP album XVI: More Than This that uniquely showcases a diverse vein of her production, writing, and performance skills. The Juilliard grad has wrapped up her debut XVI: More Than This (EP) and closed its final chapter in 2011.

XVI: More Than This, showcases G*LEE’s musical development at the beginning of it all when she was just at age 16 and ending the project at 18 years old. This EP is ‘more than’ an adolescent soundtrack, it is the artistic expression of evolution and development for every artist. All the records have remained as recorded when G*LEE was in her teenage years, giving true identity to the EP’s concept and etymology.

An intimate and particularly personal project for G*LEE to unveil her musicality from her youth timespan after all these years, this is what “More Than This” derives from.

XVI: More Than This was executive produced by herself and award-winning composer Woody Pak (noted for his score for feature documentary film Planet B-Boy).
