OK, this is the first completely self-motivated post I’ve made about Psy’s “Gangnam Style”. As much as I’m tired of the song, this rendition somehow managed to breathe new life into it for me. I’ve been on this random 8-bit musical remix tip as of late – something about today’s tunes being presented in the nostalgic tones of a simpler time are oddly comforting to me.
I got issues, I know.
But regardless, after booting up the ol’ modem and logging into Compuserve, I came across this little gem of Psy’s ubiquitous track now in 8-Bit NES form. I wasn’t sure if I was hearing it correctly so I blew into the cartridge and sure enough, the magic is real. So I had to whip out the trusty typewriter and put together this write up. Props to rakohus on this amazing remix!
