It’s official y’all. We’re a toddler. Yesterday, the 5th of June marked two full years since this little site has launched and you know what? We couldn’t be prouder. For the most part, growth has been very steady as more and more viewers continue to visit us and we want to thank you all for your continued support. To sum it up, this post will mark the 1450th post and we are well over 200,000 total hits. These figures certainly aren’t astronomical but to put it into perspective, one year ago we were at the 46K mark!
Now, I’m not showing you this graph to toot our own horn but rather to drive the point across that more and more of you are increasing your awareness of talented Asian-American musicians. This means there has been more commenting, discussions, and sharing and the more people we have on board to support the movement, the better. As I said one year ago, I hope a day will come where true talent will speak for itself, and the most deserving of musicians will get recognized, regardless of ethnicity. When that time comes, a-Tunes will no longer have a purpose and won’t need to spotlight great artists because they’ll already be in it.
To commemorate our 2nd year of life, we’ve revamped the layout again, making this the 4th complete visual change up of the site. This layout is big and clean and we hope it’ll help with readability and overall user interaction. We’re continuing to make nips and tucks here and there but please feel free to leave comments on what is or isn’t working. Your feedback is always welcome! We’ve removed a couple features that weren’t being frequently used and added a bunch of useful touches all around. The most notable change (besides the new layout) is the moving of the links section from the sidebar into it’s own dedicated page.
In closing, I just wanted to shout out my fellow staff writer, Music4UrSoul, who has been a huge help in keeping this gig running. And most of all, once again we are so thankful for YOU, the reader, who pushes and inspires us to continue sharing with you the best in Asian-American talent.
Here’s to an even bigger year three!

congrats A-Tunes!! =)
