Sue Jin is the type of musicians that doesn’t really over saturate her presence online, so it’s always a bit of a rare treat to come across new material from her. Her latest offering is a track called “The Road”, a song about riding out a journey despite the rough bumps along the way. This isn’t the final version but more of a scratch track/reference but it’s sounding strong so far. Very moody but hopefully passionate. Though I could do without the cliche motivational poster-esque picture selection that accompanies the music.
Hey everyone!
It took me over 7 months to finish writing this song, only because I didn’t know what would be at the end of that road. Well, I know now… and the view… is much nicer from here. 🙂
This song is dedicated to every victim / survivor of violence or trauma… It gets better…

p.s. This is a rough recording. An official studio recording is on the way. 🙂
Lyrics after the break.
I walked around this town
Like somebody else
Not knowing where to go
Just couldn’t see the road
That lie in front of me
Couldn’t see the road in front of meAfter a breath or two
I stopped to check the view
Couldn’t see a soul in sight
Only a hint of light
That shined beyond the trees
I could feel the light upon the breezeAnd I knew
What I had to doI drove for hours down
Till I came upon a mound
Looked up to endless night
It’s reach so far and wide
No where to go from here
The road it seemed to stop right thereMy heart dropped at the sight
So there I stopped and cried
Calmed by the sounds of years
Flowing devoid of fear
The river crystal clear
My path it was so crystal clearAnd I knew
Just what I had to do
And I knew
This road would lead me to truthIt all seemed but a dream
Awake in my sleep
Journeyed on all night
Till dusk turned bright
I saw the lightI walked around new grounds
Unsure of what I’d found
Turned back to look at years begin to disappear
