Exciting news for Far East Movement fans!
Mnet announced on November 22nd that the American hip hop group confirmed that they will perform at this year’s ‘2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)‘.
Far East Movement is comprised of Korean-Americans J-Splif and Prohgress, Japanese/Chinese-American Kev Nishimura, and Filipino-American DJ Virman. They recently earned the #1 rank on theU.S. Billboard Charts with their hit track, ‘Like a G6‘.
“We are not simply holding a Korean music awards show overseas. There may be insufficiencies now, but this is only the beginning of a new journey, and we hope in 5-10 years time, we will be able to introduce different music from each Asian country through MAMA. Our goal is to help in the exchange of rich music to eventually become one great Asian music power show,” stated a representative from MAMA.
With other international artists like Japan’s CHEMISTRY and ZEEBRA, as well as the Philippines’ Roscoe Umali attending the ‘2010 MAMA’, it’ll definitely be an interesting show to tune into.
Be sure to mark your calendars for November 28th, as allkpop will stream the event LIVE!
