There you have it. Straight out of the horses mouth (via Twitter). The group of musicians and singers formerly known as the Phil Good Band has now officially been renamed – Rooftop Pursuit. They got a new website in the works and everything so you know it’s official haha.
Phil explained the reason for the name change:
We decided to change the name of our band to Rooftop Pursuit. With our EP and Music Video coming out Feb.19th (release party will be at The Artisphere in Arlington, VA – details to come), we wanted to start fresh with a new name, especially since the album and this new project with more of a group effort. The new name is kind of a tribute to our first gig together. We were booked to do a rooftop party in Arlington, VA but ended up being chased around by management and eventually kicked out before we could even finish the first song, hence, Rooftop Pursuit.
And I guess the rest is (or will be history). Don’t forget folks, Phil Good Band now = Rooftop Pursuit. And for those of you local to the DC area, be sure to check out RP, Ivy Rose and more at a Holiday Concert in VA this weekend.
