It appears that Sam Hart is really starting to embrace a country sound with his songs. For his latest, “Broken As I Am”, he sings a simplistic heartfelt tune about lasting love along and incorporates some random “romantic” visuals with various props and figurines. I thought this is one of his better recent releases, and with a little bit of studio polish this could be a decent country-ish type of song.
will you love me when I’m fat
and my hair has fallen out
when I’m an old and lonely man
will you still have me broken as I amif I ever lose my arms
or they’re forced to take my legs
when my heart lives in a can
will you still have me broken as I amooooooooo
will you still have me broken as I amif I lose my mind
if I use up both of my eyes
when I am lost and damned
will you still have me broken as I amooooooooo
will you still have me broken as I amwhen my bones are made of glass
and my life is on a wire
will you be making other plans
or will you still have me broken as I amoooooooooo
oooooooooooo
ooooooooooooowill you still have me broken as I am?
