Illmocity’s City Boy Departs; Group Reforms as Illymoc

Illmocity, a group of three “new school” rap artists (Illmillion, Moc Five, City Boy) who came together after each developing a buzz on Youtube, has seemingly disbanded due to the departure of City Boy. Initially, CB publicly announced his plans to step away from music while he re-prioritizes his life but has since re-evaluated his intentions and plans to continue w/ music; but perhaps at a different pace.

However, the story does’t seem to end there – as there seems to be some new bad blood among the former group members, with Illmillion and Moc Five reforming as the newly branded Illymoc. The following video was posted to announce the reformation along with a link to an (one-sided) explanation behind the break up (alleged dishonesty and inability to follow through with commitments).

Though the group was still developing their brand and establishing themselves, if all these events are true, it’s disheartening to see a group with young talent not be able to work out their dynamics and have to go their separate ways. Best of luck to all three, both personally and in what ever capacity they find themselves in music.
