Jason Grandmaster Chu of Model Minority Releases Solo Mixtape – ‘The Uncool’

Jason Grandmaster Chu, one third of Hip-Hop troupe Model Minority, has a solo offering out called The Uncool. For this release, He chose to stick to the concepts of brokeness, hope and healing and to put his money where his mouth is, all proceeds from the mixtape will go towards The Red Thread Movement, a charity that works to provide education and employment for at-risk girls and women rescued from the illegal sex trade in Nepal. The first 10 tracks are free with the option to purchase the entire 13 for 5 dollars via bandcamp.

There’s a lot of interesting and encouraging things being said though his mixes could use a little more polish. You can check out the MV for the title track after the break.
