It seems like a good a time as any for another Showdown feature. If you’re just joining us, Showdown is where we have a little friendly comparison of artists that cover/remix the same songs and then vote for the one we think pulled it off better.
I’m going to be 100% honest with you. I don’t get the craze surrounding Psy’s “Gangnam Style”. It’s taken on a life all it’s own and has gone way past viral – it’s an effing Black Death of a plague on our ears and eyes. That being said, so many of you love this song and so do our artists. Just Kidding Films and David So each have their own versions of this song, done in their own comedic flavors. Funny enough, both make appeances in each others’ productions. Lots of cameos abound here. Be on the lookout for Olivia Thai, Arden Cho, Eunice Kiss, Paul Kim, Cathy Nguyen, Clara C, Joseph Vincent, Jason Chen and many more.
So by all means vote for your favorite. Or… the lesser of the two evils – however you want to look at it. Loser is punished to eternity, strapped to a chair in a room with their eyes propped open a la ‘Clockwork Orange’ as the original Psy music video loops endlessly. It’s important that you vote.
