Showdown: Andrew Huang vs Maribelle Añes

Happy Sunday everyone! How about we have a weekend Showdown? For the uninitiated, Showdown is where we have a little friendly comparison of artists that cover/remix the same songs and then vote for the one we think pulled it off better.

Taylor Swift has been a radio staple since her debut. Something about her Pop-Country sensibilities (and over-exposed dating life) seems to draw in the masses like no other. Her latest single is “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, and the two artists below each gave their own unique interpretation of the song. A. Huang continues on his dub-step trip, giving a very unique spin to the song. Maribelle Anes, on the other hand, plays to her own strengths with her Acoustic-Pop rendition.

So now that you’ve heard both, it begs the question… who did it better? Which version did you like more? The dub-step remix of Mr. Huang or the enjoyable acoustic styling of Ms Añes? But wait, don’t just say your answer out loud. Go ahead and cast your vote. Do it. Or else we’ll run our own gluttony of voting ads on television too.
