This is the type of news that it pains me to report, but it looks like sales numbers for Jessica Sanchez‘s debut Interscope album, Me, You & the Music, are not very strong. In fact, she seems to have taken the title of having the lowest selling album by an American Idol finalist (Top 2), ever. One source pegs the album sales to be in the 14K range (debuting at #20), which would have been amazing for an unsigned indie artist, but for someone who placed second on last year’s AI and has the backing of Jimmy Iovine and Interscope – not so much. If anything, she did not have the proper promotional push – even with a single backed by Ne-Yo. Let’s hope this is a slow burner and that it starts to gain traction over time.
