I’m not exactly a huge Miley Cyrus fan, but her single “Wrecking Ball” was one of her better songs for me – at least before it got played out on the radio. But this particular rendition by onenaoko is something I could listen to on repeat for quite some time. It turns the Pop single into something a more subdued but appreciated listen. The artist accomplishes this by playing the song on Cello several times over and layering the arrangement to recreate the single. I like it.
While I normally try to stick to songs/pieces I genuinely love, I thought I’d try something a little bit different this time. This one was about overcoming my own biases and prejudices, and being open to the music as opposed to the music maker. For those of us who are passionate about music, it can sometimes be difficult to remain open.
Why? Just ‘Cause.
