Last year, the Seth Rogen x Zac Efron comedy Neighbors became a surprise hit, pulling in nearly $270M on a budget of $18M. In addition to being a cash cow, it did pretty well with the critics and those two factors combined pretty much guarantee that Universal would return to the well for another serving.
Sure enough, next spring will bring us Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, currently scheduled for May 20th, 2016. There have been a number of big names connected to this movie but what is of particular interest to us is the inclusion of a certain Nora Lum. Most of you know will probably know her better as the rapper Awkwafina. You can check the IMDB page if you don’t believe us. It probably isn’t a huge part but this is still an awesome opportunity for Awk, and her inclusion just guaranteed this blogger’s viewership of the film. Can’t wait!
