Move over Se7en, Bi: BoA’s coming to America

Asian superstar BoA and SM Entertainment seems to be making good on those vague promises from over the years about her debuting in the US. She’s seemingly come out of nowhere and is on the path to debut before both Se7en and Bi (Rain) who conversely made big announcements the past year and never materialized.

Here are the two teaser trailers for her single “Eat You Up”:

I’m not so crazy about the verses but the chorus isn’t so bad. I’m skeptical but we’ll see how she fares.

Read the details after the jump.

from AllKPop:

Pop diva BoA finally held her press conference and revealed her U.S. debut plans at the Seoul Imperial Palace Hotel on the 10th.

BoA’s American debut track will be “Eat You Up,” produced by Bloodshy & Avant and available for download on October 14th. I like the sexual innuendo there, but that’s another story. Anyway, BoA’s first single album will hit store shelves on November 11th.

SM Entertainment secretly partnered up with Max Gousse, a major player in the U.S. music industry (VP of Epic Records), over the past 2-3 years to whip BoA into shape. Amazing how Lee Soo Man kept this all under the wraps, but I wouldn’t expect any less from SM Entertainment – they know what they are doing.

  1. :\ she can’t even sing.

And her song is about oral intercourse.
Now all she needs to say is “me love you long time”

  2. i disagree about her ability to sing. she’s no christina aguilera but she can hold her own.

as for the song, i think it’s a questionable decision to debut with this.

  3. I love her song..
This is the first time I’m listening to it.
It’s not so bad and I’m willing to support her.
    I love her dances.
She really good at it I can tell 😀
    Keep it up BoA!
I can’t wait to buy your single Eat You Up

  4. yeah….she’s not that bad..but she’s not that good either.

I effin’ hate SM entertainment and Lee Soo Man. I have no respect for him and no respect for BoA. I feel sorry for the boy bands though. What a cruel stuck up rich man.

And whatever happened to BoA’s claim that she won’t be reaching out to the American industry? What liars.

  5. I may not agree with everything SM does but I gotta say the guy knows how to make(exploit?) stars. His track record is impeccable.
