Beat Freaks member choreographs for SNSD

SNSDxBF

Massively popular KPOP group SNSD has enlisted the help of Rino Nakasone, a member of ABDC season 3 runner up crew Beat Freaks. So the question is, what can a dancer from an American crew with street cred and an avant garde sense of style do with a group of cute, super polished pop singers from Korea? Let’s hope the best of both worlds come out of this union. I admit, I’m a fan of ‘Gee’ just as much as the next guy but I wouldn’t mind seeing SNSD rough things up a little bit.

  1. I’d love to see Rino collaborate with them– I think that’s a great idea that they want to toughen up a bit and lose a bit of cutesy pop to embrace a more unexpected dance routine.

As of the end of May, most of the members are already 19+ so it’ll be a change for the better I think. Not to be offensive to GG fans, but they were a bit too cute for their age (well, in US terms anyway).
Rino’s amazing and she’s perfect! She’s got the energy and the style. If they’d asked Maryss or Lindsey, then they’d be doing a lot of popping and isolations but Rino’s more about choreography in other techniques.

I’m so glad that they’re looking to the Beat Freaks to help them transition into newer routines– looking forward to see them debut new moves!

    1. wow, i read your blog about this event and you’ve really given this situation quite a bit of thought! haha
