For this edition of Weekly Thursday Freebie we have a throwback for you all. What is probably considered the main song responsible for putting Magnetic North on the map,’ Drift Away’ was a great single that remains a heavily favored track to this day. The track is from their self-titled debut album, and also happened to be one of the first non-cover music videos Wong Fu produced for another artist.
Unfortunately, due to incredibly uptight copyright sample restrictions, they had to pull the song from the album, and when the original batch went out of stuck, they reissued the album with a retooled version called ‘Within the Rhythm’. In our original post, we provided the original ‘Drift Away’ song as a free download.
But today, we’re also sharing the video in addition to the song which is still available. I think you’ll agree that even after 4 years, the song is still great and a welcome addition to any audio/video playlist.
