BeatKings.com has posted up a phone interview with famed producer extraordinaire Illmind. They get pretty in depth to when he started (the genesis of the interview era back in the early 2000’s) to his earliest influences (J. Dilla) and what he’s been using to craft his signature sound over the years (it’s a ton of different equipment). They really break it down and get technical with his music making process and how he’s grown and progressed since he started. They also discuss who he enjoys working with and his favorite memories along the way. Sorry for the spoiler but he reveals he’s got a full length album in the works with Redman!
