The Far East Movement Talk About Their Next Album

With it being about a year since the release of their major label debut Free Wired, the quartet known as the Far East Movement is looking ahead and planning their next moves. After the big radio success that were Like a G6″, “Rocketeer” and more, FM has intentions of following it all up with their next album – hopefully in early 2012.

“We want to deliver it in the next two months, at least, to the label,” Nish says, noting that he and other Far*East Movement members Prohgress, J-Splif and DJ Virman are spending the next few weeks in Los Angeles working on new material. “After they give it a listen we’ll see where they want to take it — hopefully early 2012.”

The fellas also plan to expand their style, taking on different genres in this outing – working with producers old and new.

“We’ll have a few songs that show the hip-hop roots and the ‘Rocketeer’ style, and heavy synth dance tracks as well,” Nish continues. “But the majority of the album is going to be the L.A. dirty bass sound.”

FM is working with producers David Guettathe StereotypesBangladeshCherry Cherry Boom Boom, among others. Tracks include “Jello,” featuring 20-year-old hip-hop prodigy Rye Rye

It looks like we have a lot to look forward to. Here’s to the continued success from the veteran group!
