“Sadly (Bedroom)” is the closing track to Andrew Huang‘s project, Love Songs. And the artist has released a video for the song that couldn’t be any more fitting – why? Because it’s just a clip of him… singing… sadly… in a bedroom. That being said, it’s a well written track with just the right touch of somberness to give the song some emotional weight.
Lyrics:
i just want to sit in my room and cry, hang my head in shame and die
there’s no use having your shoulder now; a shovel puts me in the groundi was there, waiting for you to come home and be my friend
i was scared you’d left that morning, never to return againand the story goes
when i was sad i sadly knew you badly
spent my nights all taking off my muscles in a grey
at first the bubble didn’t burst
i was helpless and lonely and scant
but worse, you put me in a hearse
in your heart in your head in your hands
i had no second chancei just want to sit in my room and cry, hang my head in shame and die
there’s no use having your shoulder now; a shovel puts me in the groundi was there, waiting for you to come home and be my friend
i was scared you’d left that morning, never to return againand the story goes
when i was hard i hardly knew you partly
i did what my body told me to pretty much everyday
at first the bubble didn’t burst
i was helpless and lonely and scant
but worse, you put me in a hearse
in your heart in your head in your hands
i had no second chancei was there, waiting for you to come home and be my friend
i was scared you’d left that morning, never to return again
and the story goes
i just want to sit in my room and cry—
Here are the chords! NOTE: This is all relative to the capo you should put on the 7th fret. Also the guitar used for this video happened to be tuned slightly flat.
