Chris Cendana has put together a rather upbeat/catchy Pop/Rock song called “Douchebag” – a tune about all the tools out there that mistreat the women in their lives. The split screen video editing helps keep things lively with this deceptively critical ditty. It’s all an interesting juxtaposition of sound and theme. Hey everyone! So one day, before doing a show at OTB Bicycle Cafe here in Pittsburgh, I saw a girl with her friend at the bar who looked like they were expecting someone to meet them. A couple minutes after noticing them, I saw this guy who was acted like he owned the place, who apparently who was who the girl was meeting. She gets up all excited, hugs him, they have a bunch of drinks, and by the end of the night, the girl is totally getting ignored by this super obnoxious douchebag because he really wants to go out with her friend, but the girl absolutely didn’t care and was eating up any second of attention she was getting. So I decided to write this song and dedicate it to all the girls who ask themselves, “Why do I fall for the a-holes all the time?”
In short, the point of this song is this:
Guys are douchebags because they feel it’s effective. Girls always seem to overlook what’s right in front of them.I hope you enjoy! 🙂
