Phil Good Announces the Disbandment of Rooftop Pursuit

The lead singer to Rooftop Pursuit, Phil Good, has announced via Facebook that the band will be going their separate ways. The disbandment is said to be amicable as the other two members will be embarking on new chapters in their respective lives. Phil Good will return as a solo artist, working on new projects with the plan to have them released in the next few months. We at a-Tunes wish all the members the best!

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Dear Fans, Friends and Family:

On behalf of the band, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the end of Rooftop Pursuit. I wanted to take the time to explain our decision to everyone who has supported us during this amazing 2 year journey. We have been so fortunate and blessed to have a loving community, a network of wonderfully talented musician friends and truly dedicated fans that fueled the fire in our hearts to continue doing what we love. We are forever grateful for each and every one of you.

Over the past couple of months, our drummer, Jason, has decided to be closer to his family and spend the next few years in Korea. It goes without saying that family comes first. Jason and I have known each other for many years and I can say with complete confidence that his character, creativity, talent and friendship will truly be missed while he’s gone. Our guitar player, Paul, will be exploring and furthering his creativity in culinary school. It is rare for someone to find their true passion and calling in life – as musicians and artists, we are thankful that we have found this calling every day. It is even rarer, however, for someone to find their passion in two different things. For Paul, music and food play equally important roles in his life. Like music, the ability to create a culinary experience takes creativity, devotion, practice and love to perfect. If Paul’s dedication to perfect his craft in music translates to the way he prepares meals, I’m sure he’ll do just fine. With these changes within the band and within our lives, we felt that it would be best to end the journey here with Rooftop Pursuit. Rooftop Pursuit defined itself with the 3 of us and it would not feel right to continue without the 3 of us or with new members. As Jason and Paul move on to their new endeavors, I will be moving on to mine. I will focus on recording and releasing a solo album within the next couple of months. In an era where independent artists are able to financially sustain themselves, be able to share their love with others and connect in a way that goes beyond face-to-face, it truly warms my heart to know that local independent artists have a voice and you all are willing to listen. As one of my favorite bands said before they broke up, “a life of musical exploration is a rich and fulfilling one.” Thank you for the memories and see you all soon.Love,
Phil
