Many of you know Michelle Phan as a make-up queen of the Youtube universe, but now she’s gonna have another title to add to her expanding resume. Phan has joined up with Cutting Edge Group to create her very own label, Shift Music Group.
“I am passionate about finding undiscovered and talented artists,” Phan, 27, said in announcing the pact. “I want to help those artists get to the next level, and provide existing artists with a new way to reach fans. I wanted to partner with the Cutting Edge Group because they share my vision, and have a proven track record in innovation in the music business.”
With over 7M subscribers on Youtube, and a large presence in social media, she is certainly in a position of influence. The question is, will that translate to success in a different business venture? Phan has done very well for herself thus far, so we’re hoping the trend will only continue.
