Connie Lim Shares New Song – “Where the Heart Is”

Connie Lim has got a new song and this one is literally fresh. She literally wrote it today. I tend to really enjoy her arrangement and instrumental choices and this track is no exception. I love the drums she used here. This song has a throwback, 90’s movie montage type of feel to it but in a good way. I suppose the best way to describe it is comforting. What do you think?

Lyrics after the break.

“Where the Heart is”

I’m sayin’ no tonight
Social butterfly has got a fever to fight
I’m staying home tonight
Cuz even in my darkest room I know I’ll find light

I ain’t asking for anybody to cater
Noone needs to stay here
I need nobody’s favors

I am my biggest battle
Just me myself and I tonight
I am my biggest battle
Just me myself and I tonight

The greatest part is
Where it’s uncharted
That’s where the heart is
Where no one has started
Where it’s uncharted
That’s where the heart is

The greatest part is
Where it’s uncharted
That’s where my heart is
Where no one has started
Where it’s uncharted
That’s where the heart is

So this is what it feels like to be learning
Oh how it feels like I’m burning
I know I usually have a lending hand by this time
Sheltered I may be but I’ll make it out just fine

I am my biggest battle
Just me myself and I tonight
I am my biggest battle
Just me myself and I tonight

The greatest part is
Where it’s uncharted
That’s where the heart is
Cuz light comes from darkness
Where it’s uncharted
That’s where the heart is

The greatest part is
Where it’s uncharted
That’s where my heart is
Where no one has started
Where it’s uncharted
That’s where the heart is
