Since seeing Kat Badar put up her covers on You Tube, I’ve been waiting for her to bring out another soulful cover since Mariah Carey’s “I Still Believe.” Blu Cantrell’s hit “Hit’ Em Up Style” is a fun, feminist song that should be sung with sass and attitude and Kat delivers it well. She doesn’t remix or change it up at all and there’s no stretch on her vocals whatsoever. Definitely just a good song and good cover.
