Erin Kim Releases “Slow Down (Time)”

The winner from the first Kollaboration Seattle last year, Erin Kim, has finally dropped her first official single. The song is called “Slow Down (Time)” and is actually the original piece she performed at the competition that won her Seatown Kollab’s first title. It’s an upbeat, jazzy type of track – think Norah meets Colbie. For some reason I always envisioned Erin to be a pop type of singer but I think she fits this more singer/songwriter lane very well. Verse 1:
Time Time Time
Time is always wasted
When we always think of it
But what can we do

When we’re always,
Rushin, Pushin time
And Sayin
It went by so fast.

Verse 2:
Tellin me to take my time
To live in the moment
So much to do
So much to say
Nobody knows.

So is it really?
Oh uh oh, Possible to..

Chorus:
Slow down
Let the wind take a breather
Slow down
So we’ll always remember
Slow down
When the light seems to blur out
The life that we keep on
Rushin, Pushin down.
So let’s sloooow ohh down.

Verse 3:
Time time time
Time is always present
Given every second we breathe
It’s a breathe we can catch
A life we’re behind.

A life unlived, A life to be mine
Livin, Breathin, again.

Bridge:
Could I catch a passing moment in a jar?
A memory framed inside my heart
Something fading kept so vivid

So take it down, turn it around
And get heart on track cause
Every second you waste
Is a second you can’t get back.

Chorus:
Slow down
Let the wind take a breather
Slow down So we’ll always remember
Slow down
When the light seems to blur out
The life that we keep on
Rushin, Pushin……ohooooohoh
