Mitchell Grey Shares a Live Version of a New Track – “Ponderfall”

It’s been 6 months since Mitchell Grey dropped their debut album, On the Stellar Way, but the band hasn’t stopped working music. They’ve debuted a new track via Bandcamp called “Ponderfall”, albeit in live and unpolished form. At the very least it gives you an idea of what the band sounds like live and what we can look forward to. I’d really like to hear the studio version of this song.

Yanked from the focus of my eyes
and into wondrous abstract space
Landing on a thought I’d left behind
but saved by the glare of your grace
Twisting the air to ride the sky
Sneaking you into every passing dream
If I go left or right
Up or down
I skip, I slip, now falling

Welcoming the ponderfall
the place I chase so we can dance
Tearing down these halting walls
and all its posters posted with plans
and if I get through it all
then I get to keep you as soon as I land

Now see, I fell on the fifth
on that plumetting trip
I’ve been ponderin’ since if you
have coursed along the question lines
Whether I go left or right
Up or down
I skip, I slip, still falling
falling with you
falling to you and further

Welcoming the ponderfall
the place I chase so we can dance
Tearing down these halting walls
and all its posters posted with plans
and if I get through it all
then I get to keep you as soon as I land

Ponderfall Ponderfall Ponderfall
How I ponder, ponder
